My husband and I are from New York and have much family living in The Netherlands and Belgium. When we decided to host our wedding in my mother’s home town of Maastricht, we knew that planning an event from overseas (during covid!) would not be easy. A multicultural, bilingual ceremony was of top priority, and Esther Pasman was just the person up for the challenge! My husband and I interviewed numerous officiants, but from our first contact, we knew Esther would be the right choice. Over the course of 6 months, Esther was flexible in meeting with us over Zoom, taking into account the 6 hour time difference. Esther took great care to get to know us as individuals and as a couple, through personal discussions, as well as conversations with our family and friends. We did not meet in person until the day of the wedding, but were immediately at ease with her warmth and sense of familiarity. The wedding ceremony itself was above and beyond our expectations. Esther was confident and sincere in her delivery, and even brought a bit of light-hearted humor to the stage. Most importantly, she captured our essence and delivered a speech that beautifully illustrated our love for each other, as well as for our families and close friends.
